November is Will Aid month and Macnabs is delighted to be taking part once again in this year’s annual Will Aid fundraising event where our lawyers are volunteering their time and waiving their fee for writing a basic Will. Macnabs has taken part in the annual Will Aid scheme for 7 years now and raised an impressive total of £37,561 to date, making them the 4th highest donating firm in the whole of Scotland.
Will Aid offers an easy way to make your Will whilst supporting worthwhile charities. It is simple – you make an appointment, we make your Will and instead of paying a fee you make a donation to the Will Aid charity.
It is so important that people make a Will. Without one the law decides how your estate is passed on, and this might not be in line with your wishes, so to ensure your loved ones are provided for after your death and to save your family unnecessary distress at an already difficult time, make sure you have a professionally drafted Will.
Even if you already have a Will, it is important to update it every 3-5 years, especially if your circumstances have changed. If you now have children or grandchildren, if you are recently divorced or separated, or have a Partner but are not legally married, or if perhaps a beneficiary named in your Will has deceased, then make sure your Will reflects what you want to happen when you die.
Gain peace of mind by writing your Will, setting your affairs in order and providing for your loved ones, whilst supporting charity at the same time.
