When a loved one loses the ability to make their own decisions, and is unable to sign a Power of Attorney, the answer may be to apply to the Court for a Guardianship Order.

A Guardianship Order allows someone to make ongoing decisions on behalf of an adult with incapacity, such as paying bills, dealing with bank accounts, and making decisions about care and personal welfare matters.
