Macnabs, a leading law firm in Perthshire established over 130 years ago, has recently opened an office in Aberuthven, bringing the firm’s total number of offices to four.
Macnabs, which has offices in Perth, Pitlochry, Blairgowrie and now Aberuthven, employs almost 40 staff and provides advice on Commercial Law, Employment Law, Litigation, Personal Injury & Accident Claims, Property & Estate Agency, and Wills, Trusts & Executries. The firm continues to grow through organic expansion and turnover has increased by 10% since last year.
The new office In Aberuthven will be headed up by Ruth Croman, Managing Partner, and Alan Roughead, a specialist in the Private Client field. Alan, who joined the firm six months ago as an Associate, advises clients on a variety of issues including the preparation of Wills, Estate Planning, Asset protection and Executry administration. Ruth and Alan are also supported at the Aberuthven office by a team of lawyers with expertise across the full spectrum of legal services. Whether clients are approaching a major life change such as marriage, divorce or adoption and need help managing their affairs; are purchasing, selling or leasing their property; or are involved in a dispute or commercial matter with which they need assistance, Macnabs can help.
Managing Partner Ruth Croman comments: “The opening of our Aberuthven office represents the strategic expansion of the Macnabs brand in Perthshire. We are committed to our clients across Perthshire. Aberuthven has a vibrant community and we are looking forward to being part of that, and are already excited about our involvement and sponsorship of the Blackford Highland Games later this month.”
Alan Roughead adds: “We want to be local and accessible and be there for our clients when they need us. Our new office will enable us to speak to the community and have a base for them to come and see us, whether this is for helping buying a house, or making a Will. It is so important that people make a Will – without one the law decides how your estate is passed on, and this might not be in line with your wishes, nor the most tax efficient. That is why, to celebrate the launch of the new office, we are offering private client consultations free of charge in our Aberuthven office for the first two weeks of June and inviting the community to come and speak to us about making a Will or a Power of Attorney. It is an opportunity to discuss matters and ask questions at no cost, which will enable you to consider the best way forward for you. Even if you already have a Will, it is important to keep your circumstances under review and, if necessary, update your Will , especially if your circumstances have changed – for example the addition of grandchildren, a recent divorce, a change in tax law, or perhaps a beneficiary named in your Will has deceased. Whether it is Wills, Estates, Trusts, Care Costs, Inheritance Tax or Powers of Attorney, please get in touch to make an appointment.”
